Logan Paul Stephens-Youngblood of Colorado was born on April 25, 2003, bringing joy and light from the start. Logan was selfless, genuine and devoted to his friends and family. He enjoyed travel and adventuring in the outdoors: skiing, rafting, biking, all of it. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, and a proud member of the Sultans of Scoot Squad who will be connected forever by deep affection and their shared zest for life. Logan died May 17, 2024, in Grand Junction in a motorcycle accident, leaving an enormous hole in our hearts and our community.
Logan graduated from Palisade High School in 2021 and was a member of the marching band, mountain bike team, and ski club. He worked in construction, on local trails with the Youth Conservation Corps (in conjunction with U.S. Forest Service), and had recently started working at Fidel’s Cocina, in Palisade. He was delighted to be part of that crew.
One of Logan’s favorite quotes was “Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” Though much too brief, none of Logan’s time among us was wasted. His gift was bringing people together. Friends from far and wide were drawn to his humor, quiet intelligence and kindness. Anyone who met Logan felt seen and loved. He made the world a better place.
Logan was cherished and will be deeply missed by his parents, Erin Stephens-Marner and Matthew Youngblood, stepparents Joel Marner and Shelley Warsaw-Youngblood; his sister Matilda Stephens-Marner and brother Wesley Youngblood; his longtime partner Triscia Teachout; and by countless grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He joins his younger sister Destry and grandparents Jack and Duna Stephens in death.
A celebration of Logan’s life will be held at Riverbend Park in Palisade on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe account established to help the family at this time.
