Lyle D. Light
2/4/55 – 10/6/16
Lyle was born in Humboldt, Nebraska to Kenneth and Lillis Light, was the youngest sibling to Linda and David. He grew up in Denver, graduating from Abraham Lincoln High, attended Adam State College playing baseball and graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Lyle moved to Grand Junction where he met Kay McKague on a golf course, dated for awhile until Kay informed him she was the love of his life. It took a while, but they married September 20, 1990 on Glade Park and had one son Nathan, the joy of his life. They lived in Denver for 12 years and moved back to Grand Junction in 2000.
Lyle’s love of sports continued his whole life. He loved watching the Nuggets and the Broncos. You could hear him all the way down the street if he thought the players weren’t doing their job right.
Lyle is survived by his wife Kay, son Nathan, brother David (Kris), nephew Eric who was like a younger brother, and many other family members that he loved very much.
As sad as it is to be without you, we know you are with Jesus along with your dad, mom, sister Linda, Kay’s dad Patrick, and great nephew Gauge.
