Margaret was born on January 4, 1912, to Amandus Selma (Swanson) Gustafson in Hesel, Sweden. Her family moved to the US when she was 2 years old.
Margaret became a citizen in 1961; she was very proud of this achievement. She spent most of her life as homemaker and nurses’ aid.
She was a member of the Palisade Christian Church, and she loved the Lord devoutly.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, James E. McFarland; her son, James P. McFarland; her 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and parents.
She is survived by her sons, Steve McFarland of Benson, AZ, and Bob (Judy) McFarland of Palisade, CO; her daughter, Peggy Bray of Grand Junction, CO; and her sister, Alice Broker of Pendleton, OR; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; as well numerous nieces and nephews.
