March 17, 1939 – July 13, 2011
Marilyn Kaye Moore left us to be with the good Lord and her Mom and Dad on July 13, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center in Grand Junction CO. She was 72 years old. Marilyn was born March 17, 1939 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to John F. Jones and Margaret (Macarthur) Jones. During high school, she worked at her parent's diner, "Mickey's Cafe", then graduated in 1957 from Rockwell City High School in Rockwell, City, Iowa. She married Paul M. Fagan in January of 1958 and soon moved to Thornton, CO. They had three children, Timothy, Tamara, and Teresa. In 1969 they moved to Palisade, CO. They divorced in 1975, at that time Marilyn started her banking career at Palisade National Bank. She retired from banking almost 25 years later. She met the love of her life, Bobby R. Moore, they married in February, 1980. With his three children, Laura, Bryon and Brenda, she became the mother of six children. She was a Mother figure to many over her lifetime. She was the most caring, giving person that we have known. It didn't matter who you were, if you needed help, she was there with open arms and a smile. She enjoyed spending time with her family and collected various antiques, Coca-Cola, Betty Boop, Precious Moments and a family photo collection. Bob and Marilyn were one of the founding members of the Wheels West Car Club and took many fun trips going on club drives and car shows. Their car collection included a 1926 Chevy, 1955 Chevy Bel Air, 1942 Plymouth Coop, and a 1962 Ford Unibody Pickup. Preceding her in death are her parents, John F. and Margaret "Mickey" Jones and her half sister, Harriett Morgan. She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby of Grand Junction; brother, Johnny Jones of Norman, OK; son, Timothy (Tammy) Fagan of Loma, CO; daughter, Tamara (Kevin) Tow of Salome, AZ; daughter, Teresa White of Grand Junction, CO; step-daughter, Laura Dahstrom of Hood River, OR; step-son, Bryon Moore of Grand Junction, CO; step-daughter, Brenda Cokle of La Grande, OR; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a very special friend whom she considered a sister, Marsha Clemens of Clear Lake, IA. Mom, you will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten. Thank you for all the good values and kindness you taught us through the years, which will continue through the generations of our family. We love you. Cremation has taken place, no funeral services are planned.
