Marjorie was welcomed into heaven by her parents, William Archie Stonehocker and Sarah Elizabeth (Harmeyer) Stonehocker; her daughter, Arlene Marie (Orr) Lindahl; her husband, Ellis Earl Wood; and her brothers, Verlie and Bobby Stonehocker.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Mary Marks of Grand Junction, CO, and Wanda Parker of Colorado Springs, CO. Her stepchildren, Gaylene Wood of Bullhead City, AZ; Kenney Wood of Arroyo Grande, CA; and Duane (Suzie) Wood of Colorado Springs, CO. Marjorie had 6 grandchildren; Sarah, Dennis, Stuart, Kayla, Kellen, and Kandice, and several great grandchildren. She loved being around her grandkids and laughing with them. Marjorie is also survived by several nieces and nephews that share fond memories of spending time with Aunt Margie.
Marjorie was a bookkeeper/accountant and loved her job. She stated many times that she wished she was still working, even though her health no longer made it possible for her to work. In her younger years she loved bowling and dancing. Marjorie loved flowers and taking care of her yard and flower gardens. This was a love she inherited from her father. There were always houseplants thriving inside the house, and rose bushes, peonies, clematis and many other flowers growing in her yard. Once she was no longer able to do her yardwork, Mary ensured that the flowers and yard were beautiful for her to enjoy.
No services will be held at Marjorie’s request.
