

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, followed by burial at 1 p.m. at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice; one son, Jerry; one daughter, Karin Schroder; three sisters; and four grandchildren.
Marvin D. White
February 29, 1928 - March 30, 2015
Marvin was born in Mesa, CO on February 29, 1928, to Otha and Hettie White. He enlisted in the Navy on March 5, 1945 and served on the USS Wyandot, which was damaged three days before the attack on Okinawa. Marvin returned home to Clifton, CO and married the love of his life, Eunice Colclasure, on July 20. 1947.
He attended vocational school and became a top notch auto mechanic. Marvin worked alongside his brother, Charlie, at Harris Auto Company, which later became Collier-Ponsford. He retired from Reed Miller in 2000 at the age of 72.
Marvin loved family get togethers, camping, FISHING, hunting and an occasional trip to Black Hawk.
He took pride in keeping his yard the envy of the neighborhood. He loved the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Eunice of 67 years of marriage; his son, Jerry (Cindy) White; his daughter, Karin (Eric) Schroder; three sisters, Alice Latimer, Jane (Frank) Simmons and Ruthie (Lyle) Grove; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Burton and Charlie White.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. with full military honors.
