Michael Wayne Keenan

He died from complications of pneumonia.

Michael was born on March 13, 1958 in Delta, CO to his parents Tom and Marie Keenan. Mike attended grade school at the old St. Michael’s Catholic School in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1976. He attended Mesa Junior College and after moving to Grand Junction worked at several jobs before having a long and successful career at Keenan-Dahl Plumbing Supply.

Mike made many close friends and loved to be with them at Lake Powell and other trips. He was quite adventurous and checked off skydiving from his bucket list several times. His hobbies included looking for arrowheads and fossils. He was kind, generous, loved animals, and never forgot a birthday.

He is survived by brothers Tom (Terry) Keenan, Don (Jeanie) Grooms both of Fruita, nieces Holly Grooms, Alecia (Charlie) Chaplin, Heather (Scott) Barry, and several grand nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Marie Keenan, sister Susan Altstatt, and nephew Justin Keenan.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 17 at 6:00 pm at Riverbend Park in Palisade.
