Nancy Terry Jaynes
December 23, 1940 - December 23, 2014
Nancy Jaynes died peacefully at HopeWest Hospice.
She was born and raised in Grand Junction, CO and graduated with the class of 1958, GJHS Tigers. She then graduated from Mesa Jr. College, and attended Colorado State College in Greeley.
Nancy enjoyed employment with Jesse Boyce Motors in Grand Junction and Honeywell in Denver after college, and Ultronix after marriage. She often spoke of how much she enjoyed her work at each of those locations.
While living in Denver, Nancy began dating her lifetime companion, Ron, who also grew up in the Grand Valley. They were married in September, 1965.
Nancy and Ron made their home in Palisade where they raised three daughters. She re-entered the work force when their daughters were in high school and spent 25 years working in the laboratory at St. Mary's Hospital, retiring in 2011. She always shared that she was proud to work there, and made many friends. No one can disagree Nancy was a giving, clever, kindhearted and thoughtful friend, sister, wife, and mother.
The many cards, letters and phone calls received have remembered her for all of those traits and more.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ron Jaynes of Palisade; sister, Carol (Denny) Patterick of Peoria, AZ; daughter, Ronda Clark of Grand Junction; son-in-law, Chris Clark of Palisade; daughter, Linda (Tony) Anton of Longmont, CO, and daughter, Sandra Jaynes of Longmont, CO; eight grandchildren, Kelsey, Kaie Barrett, Kendal, Peyton, Tristan, Rylan, Grayson, and Emerson.
Nancy requested no services; however, donations can be made to the East Orchard Mesa Fire Department, PO Box 164, Palisade, CO 81526, Attn: Rob Talbott.
