Jean was born and raised in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and studied Accounting at Ohio University. In 1960, after marrying the love of her life, Cecil Edward ("Ed") Olwine, they headed to Colorado and enthusiastically embraced the western life, raising their two sons in Grand Junction.
She was an expert needleworker, an adventurous traveler, Corvair road-tripper, and a proud and devoted grandmother of four.
Jean lived a life of goodness and honor--even when no one was looking, which serves as an inspiring legacy for all who will remember her with love.
She is survived by son James (Lisa) Olwine, son David (Brenna) Olwine, granddaughter Maria (Ryan) Nelson, grandson Evan Olwine, granddaughter Neyla Olwine, and grandson Holden Olwine.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, 1:00 pm at Orchard Mesa Cemetery, 2620 Legacy Way, Grand Junction, CO.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to her hospice foundation, they were there for her in her time of need.
