Neva Watkins Sutley

Neva Watkins Sutley passed away March 1, 2022 in Denver, Colorado. She was 95. Neva, her twin sister Eva, and family grew up on a small farm near Minden, Louisiana. Her parents were Calvin Edgar Watkins and Cora Bell (McCann) Watkins.

From her birth in Sarepta, LA and youth on the farm through the Depression, she went on to serve in the kitchen at a California Army Base during World War II.

She then moved to Greeley, Colorado, and later Albuquerque, NM, Glenwood Springs, CO; and Grand Junction, CO. Though a “Southern Belle”, Neva grew to love the Southwest - and never grew to love the snow!

She became an avid gardener and loved anything that bloomed.

She became a dear friend to many wherever she was living!

A very loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, she is survived by her son Johnny Johnson and wife Sally of Denver, CO; her daughter Karen Van Wormer and husband Don of FL; her son Keith Johnson and wife Kathie of NY; and her son Todd Jenkins and wife Kristen of Fruita, CO, and by eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
