

Mr. Stadelman was a school district assistant manager.
He is survived by his wife Betty; three sons, John of Grand Junction, Michael of Casper, Wyoming, and Ronald of Goose Creek, South Carolina; a daughter Vickie Sommerville of Grand Junction; two brothers, James of Elko, Nevada, and LeRoy of Grand Junction; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Orville passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of March 29th, at the age of 87. He was born to Nicholas and Catherine (Brungardt) Stadelman at Hays Kansas. When he was 4 years old his family moved to Fort Collins, where he attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from FortCollins High School. He married Betty Winter on Sept. 26 1951 in Fort Collins. In the fall of 1952 the Family purchased a ranch at Fraser, CO. In 1956 they moved to a ranch on Kannah Creek where he worked and lived. In 1970 he moved his family to Grand Junction where he worked for Fuoco Motors, Denning Lumber, Wickes Lumber and his final job with the School Dist. Warehouse, retiring in 1992. Orville and Betty bought a motorhome and traveled the US, spending their 50th wedding anniversary and the fall in Hawaii where their youngest son was stationed in the Navy. In the spring of 2002 they moved to Granby CO, near his brother Al and then back to Grand Junction in 2010. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 4th Degree of which he held local and state office. Orville is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty, daughter; Vickie (James) Sommerville of Grand Junction, sons; Michael of Casper, WY, Ronald (Beth) of Goose Creek, SC and John (Perlita) of Grand Junction. Grandchildren; Sean and Brandan Sommerville, Alicia (Chris) Fender, Justin (Tiffany) Stadelman, Jeremy Stadelman, Shannon and Ryan Stadelman, Lindsay Busko. GreatGrandchildren; Kelsey and Tyler Trujillo, Logan Groves, Garrett andColten Fender, Sage, Shr’rie and Savanna Sommerville, Kasey (Buddy) Duzik. And GreatGreatGrandsons; Brantley and Braxton Duzik, and Waylon Zuber. Brothers; James (Virginia) and LeRoy (Shirley) Stadelman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister; Bernice Michaud and brothers; Victor and Alvin Stadelman. A Rosary will be on April 25th at 9:30 followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 at St. Joseph’s Church in Grand Junction.
