Paul was born to Francis and Irene (Gauvin) Donnelly on December 14, 1939 in Washington, DC, where he spent his childhood. He graduated from High School in Fitchburgh, MA and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Paul spent his career working as an Electronics Officer for the Navy before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on cars, song writing and storytelling.
Paul is preceded in death by one brother, Dave Donnelly. He survived by his daughters, Laura Gayle Donnelly of Wilmington, NC, and Kathleen Sue Donnelly of Uniontown, PA; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
