Pauly was just a delightful, lively boy with a gleam in his eyes and matching dimples. As he roller-bladed as a youngster someone told him that he needed to play ice hockey, and so it began. He first played for the Littleton Hawks for several years. Following the tragedy at Columbine High School Pauly traveled to Langley, Canada to attend school and play hockey. He then went to Helena, MT where he played Junior A’s and then to Columbus Ohio. Pauly returned to Grand Junction where he pursued his golf game and maintained several golf jobs. He attended San Diego Golf Academy where he earned an Associate’s Degree.
In 2018 he told his mom and dad that he needed help. So he went to Utah where he began his journey of self-help. Pauly is now at peace and his spirit is free. If someone knew him through school, golf, hockey, pool, treatment, or just a moment in time, Pauly made a lasting impression with his vibrant smile and personality. Pauly was an organ donor and so 4 recipients will benefit from Pauly’s gift of life.
Paul is survived by his mom Laura Atkinson, his dad Greg Freeman, and his beloved dog Rocky Bear.
Funeral services will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 on Friday, June 16th at 11am followed by a lunch at Greg Freeman’s home.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.callahan-edfast.com for the Freeman family.
