Peter Michael Martin

Peter Michael “Mike” Martin of Grand Junction, CO, passed away on April 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Mike was born on November 13th, 1945, in Springfield, Massachusetts from the union of Peter and Marguerite Martin.

He lived in several places, including Florida, Lakewood and Denver, Colorado, but settled in Grand Junction for the last 25 years. Mike married Jo Ann Lundmark and they later divorced. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2022. He then married Marietta (Eaton) Eckhardt on September 2, 1992, in Golden, Colorado. She survives.

Mike served honorably in the United States Air Force and went on to become a computer programmer with the Coors Brewery Testing Laboratory. He continued his interest in computers throughout his life.

He leaves behind his wife, Marietta Martin, of Grand Junction, CO, three sons Gregory (Donna) Martin, Aaron (Natalia) Martin, Ivan Martin, all of Grand Junction, CO, two daughters, Andrea (Cesar) Meza from Bountiful, UT, Melania (Aviano) Rontino of Grand Junction, CO., two stepsons, Steven and Michael Eckhardt. Other survivors include three brothers, Peter Dan, Peter Kim, Peter Paul, three sisters, Mary Joy, Jeannie, Ann Pat, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Charles Martin and Marguerite “Joyce” Martin and his son Phillip Martin.

Mike was a kind, loving, generous man. Family was his greatest treasure. He will be severely missed.
