

A visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 2542 G Road, Grand Junction. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Military honors and interment will be 1 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery of Western Colorado, 2830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction.
Mr. Fisher was an engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, Kirk and Wayne “Brian,” both of Grand Junction; two daughters, Thelma Perkins and Aimee Fisher, both of Grand Junction; three brothers, William, Kent and Ronald, all of Ashton, Idaho; two sisters, Donna Baldwin and Anita Grigg, both of Ashton; and six grandchildren.

Robert ""Wayne"" Fisher
January 31, 1939 - December 22, 2014
Robert ""Wayne"" Fisher was born January 31, 1939, to Robert and Fern Fisher in Burley, Idaho. After attending schools in Burley, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Berlin, Germany. After leaving the Army, he went to work for the BLM, retiring in 2012.
Surviving him are his wife of 53 years, Carol; two sons, Kirk (Ada) of Grand Junction, CO and Wayne ""Brian"" (Sarai) of Clifton, CO; two daughters, Thelma Perkins and Aimee Fisher, both of Grand Junction; six grandchildren; three brothers, William (Wanda), Kent (Gayle), and Ronald (Helena) of Ashton, Idaho, and two sisters, Donna (Donnie) Baldwin and Anita (Daryl) Grigg also of Ashton, Idaho.
Wayne loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He loved riding his lawnmower and tractor, teasing his grandkids, watching TV, and driving around the desert with his buddy, Joel Nix.
Visitation will be December 31, 2014, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2542 G Road, Grand Junction, CO.
