

Rose was born in Richmond, MN to Joseph and Loretta Rainer. She was the second of eight children. She was raised in rural MN and attended St. Cloud Tech and St. Cloud School of Cosmetology.
Rose was married to the love of her life, Howard E. Atchley, for 59 beautiful years. They started their life together in St. Paul, MN. They have three daughters, numerous foster daughters and three grandchildren, whom she adored.
She and Howard owned a medical supply business in Riverdale, GA and worked side by side for 17 years. After retiring, they moved to Grand Junction, CO in 2010. Rose's passion for life included not only her deep love of family, but also camping, fishing, square dancing, bowling, bike riding, sewing, gardening and traveling.
Rose touched many people and will be remembered for her gentle spirit, incredible strength, enduring grace and warm heart.
Rose is survived by her husband, Howard E. Atchley; daughters, Debbie L. Reaves (Ken) of Douglasville, GA; Jodell Atchley (Julie) of Grand Junction, CO; Nicole Holloman (Mark) of Hagerstown, MD, and special foster daughter, Diana Kelly (Larry) of Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Chandler Atchley of Grand Junction, CO; Dara and Ella Holloman of Hagerstown, MD, and siblings, Ruth Ann Rudolph of Indiana; Dolores TerWisscha of Minnesota; Joseph Rainer of Arizona; Loretta Richards of Montana; Irene Boydstrum of Texas, and Beverly Ann Lease of Minnesota.
Rose was preceeded in death by her parents, and brother, Alexander ""Al"" Rainer.
Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the multitude of people at St. Mary's Hospital that cared for her over the past two and one half years.
The memorial service will be held at Monument Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction, CO on Tuesday, October 11th at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Arthritis Foundation.
