Married to Felix Maldonado Jr, April 9, 1960 Montrose, CO
The pride and joy of her life was her family. Despite being told she would not be able to have children, she was able to have five of her own and care for many more. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, immediate and extended. With an open door, you could often find her cooking in the kitchen with her apron on and listening to music or the news. She was known for being a great cook and always ready to read a magazine or her newspaper. She loved all sports, kept up with the latest pop culture, and was definitely a fashionista.
She passed down her love for music and dancing to all of her family. From when she was young to the end of life, she was singing and moving her feet. She had a passion for politics and encouraged us to always be caring and compassionate to everyone. Her love seemed endless, welcoming and loving everyone like family with her kind and nurturing spirit. Without fail, she always had us laughing with her jokes. Her advice in life is for everyone to come together and love each other. She was definitely one in a million with many cherished memories throughout her lifetime.
