Roy A Joseph passed away after a long, courageous fight against cancer.
He was born June 10, 1946 in Riverton, Wyoming to Marilyn Henry Joseph and Lawrence Joseph. He was the third of five children. His siblings are Ruth (Hord), Allen (Bobbi), Donald (deceased) and Larry (Janette). Later two step-sisters were added to the family, Chloe (Parry) and Carmen (Gary) Workman.
Roy grew up and attended schools in Vernal, UT. He later attended Southern Colorado State College receiving an Associate in Applied Science Degree.
In 1967 Roy married Diane Legleiter; they later divorced. From this union Thomas (Sarah), Amy (Tim) Kelley, and Jennifer (Orr) (deceased) were born. In 1984 Roy married the love of his life, Linda, and gained a step-daughter, Karen (Manny) Anaya.
Roy was an auto mechanic for 40 years. He later started a small business: Colorado West Dampproofing.
Roy enjoyed jeeping, geocaching, and fishing. He has found more than 20,000 geocaches. Roy was a long time member of Grand Mesa Jeep Club. He was instrumental in getting permission and opening Billings Canyon Jeep Trail.
We thank Dr. Work and his oncology department for their loving care of Roy during this most trying time, as well as Hospice Hope West.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.callahan-edfast.com for the Joseph family.
