Ruthe was born in Pennsylvania to Ed and Bess (Maines) McCartney on December 1, 1923 and passed away on March 26, 2018 at Grand Junction, Colorado.
Private family services will be held at graveside, Memorial Gardens, Grand Junction, Colorado.
Ruthe was preceded in death by her parents and by her two husbands, Max R Byers and James F Capes and two children, Jimmy and Mary Capes.
She was a member of the Redlands United Methodist Church.
Ruthe is survived by her children Randy (Laveda) Byers, Cynda Byers and Todd (Rhonda) Capes; five grandchildren, (Dane and Randall Byers, Weston, Maggie and Wyatt Capes) and two great grandchildren (Lila and Dane Byers)
Her love in life was her family and will always be.
