Sandra Kay Shrove

Sandra K. Shrove, age 61 of Grand Junction, CO, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Sandra was born on August 17, 1961 in East St. Louis, IL to Winfred R. Lucy and Essie J. Pender. Sandra spent her childhood in Dupo, IL where she graduated from Dupo High School. She furthered her education and graduated from a vocational college in Rawlins, WY. Along with Dupo, IL, Sandra was a former resident of Tucson, AZ, Rawlins, WY, St. Louis, MO, and has been a resident of Grand Junction for the past 10 years. On December 30, 1999, Sandra married her loving husband, Thomas G. Shrove in Las Vegas, NV.

Sandra was a Sales Associate at Sam’s Club in Grand Junction and also worked as a Sales Associate at City Market and was a Driver for PTI. She was of the Catholic faith and volunteered for Community Clean-Up’s. She was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed shooting guns and bows. Sandra loved her family and friends and was happy going on adventures or just staying home.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father, Winfred Lucy; her mother, Essie Pender; and her brother, Mark Lucy.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Thomas Shrove of Grand Junction, CO; her daughter, Elizabeth (Chad) Anderson of Dupo, IL; her step-sons, Michael Shrove of Escanaba, MI and Rodney (Kathy) Shrove of Tucson, AZ; her sister, Terry (Nick) Abner of Columbus, IN; and her 4 grandchildren, Charlee, Carter (Elizabeth), Aiden (Rodney), and Blake (Michael).

A Viewing will be held at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10am-12pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grand Junction, CO on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10am.
