Scott Lawrence Conner

Scott Lawrence Conner July 19, 1971 – February 11, 2013 Scott, age 41, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Monday morning, February 11, 2013. Scott was a coal miner for seven years at "Twenty Mile Mine" in Oak Creek, CO. He was also a professional drummer who traveled the state of Colorado, gigging with several bands. Later, he played in worship bands in the churches that he attended. Music was Scott's passion. After greeting his Savior, picking out his "dream" drum set was probably next on his list. Scott also enjoyed motorcycles and guns. He collected older historical guns and declared that riding his motorcycle was "freedom". Scott dearly loved his family and beloved wife, Shannon. Fatherhood was a gift he extended behond his own flesh and blood and he was greatly loved in return. Scott is survived by his wife, Shannon; parents, Jim and Joan Conner; brother, Jeff Conner, all of Grand Junction; brother, Joey Conner of Wasilla, AK; sister, Denise Heizer of Grand Junction; children and step-children, Ashley Carter, Megan Conner, and Amanda and Ben French, and granddaughter, Brielle Tucker, all of Grand Junction. Services will be held at Connection Church, 402 Grand Avenue on Saturday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m.
