Steven Michael Childs passed away on August 24th, 2024. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 12th, 1950 to David Childs and Carol Childs (Nelson). The family moved to Colorado in the early 60's where he graduated from Alameda High School with the class of 1968. He eventually moved to Longmont, CO where he opened the Budget Tapes & Records store. After it closed, he later went to work for Longmont Winair which took him to the Western slope of Colorado where he served as President of Grand Junction Winair until his retirement in 2009. Steve is survived by his wife Teri (Spallinger), his children Jessica, Matthew, Stacy (Bill) Osborn, Jamie (Andrew) Burrows, and eight grandchildren. Siblings Mike (Michelle), Jeff, and Sue (Mark) Weber. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. There will be a Celebration of Life open house from 1-4 pm on October 19th, 2024 at 128 Eagle Ave. Mead, CO.
