Taylen David Hitt-Eames of Grand Junction, Colorado died Thursday, May 20, 2021. He was born in Burley, Idaho, January 10, 2001, the son of April Eames and Jared Hitt. He was a graduate of Fruita Monument High School.
Taylen was an avid outdoor adventurer. He lived life to the fullest, he made a huge impact on every person he came into contact with and was a good friend to all that knew him. He most enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends. Those that knew Taylen will tell you that he embodied the idiom of work hard, play hard. He lived life without fear and always wanted to make people smile. Taylen was employed as a construction worker and a ranch hand. He was a strong young man whose life ended too soon.
Taylen is preceded in death by his dad, Doug Eames. He is survived by his mom April Eames, the light of his life and her partner Lenny Nord, and his father Jerod Hitt and his wife Piper Hitt; his best friend and brother Dawson Eames, his brother Holland and his sisters Breanna and Dallas; his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and oh so many friends. Taylen was an organ donor and because of this he will be saving at least 5 lives and helping to heal 70 more.
The funeral service will be held at Martin Mortuary in Grand Junction, Wednesday May 26, 2021 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Donor Alliance. Please send all cards and letters to April Eames, 116 E Alcove Dr. Grand Junction, CO 81507.
