Ted Allen Martin

First and foremost, Ted was a lover & follower of Jesus. He took so much joy in reaching out to help others. He valued his relationships with his friends & many business associates. Ted also had a heart for the Mexican people and has been known to drive trailers full of goods to donate in Puerto Peñasco. There are many there that will sorely miss him.

Ted was an outstanding business man & most things he touched turned to gold. He was not a man of leisure, but loved spending time at his ranch on the Mesa where he tended sheep, goats, chickens, & llamas. He worked tirelessly to fulfill his dream of having a house on the beach in Mexico & got to enjoy sunset walks with his “Sugar Butt”, Juliann.

Where he really shined was in his roll as Papa to his 25 grandchildren & 1 great-granddaughter (there are 2 on the way too!). He leaves behind 4 beautiful daughters: Heather Pennington (Benjie), Kelly Minnick (Robert), Elizabeth Martin Akretch (Faride); Julie Jensen (Casey); 3 bonus kids Jaida McKeever (Ryan), Erik Olson (Mara), Beck Olson (Krista), his mother Nannie Lou, siblings Roger, Patricia Ann, Jeanetta, Marlene, Alvin, and his adoring, dedicated wife of 22 years; Juliann.

Ted was preceded in death by his father James and sister Abbie Jo.

Tazmanian Ted, Big Daddy, My Dude, My Beast, Terrible Ted, Tornado Ted, Papa T, Jefe, Teddy Ballgame, Boss, Tenacious T, TMart, Daddy-O, and his favorite from his wife…Sugar Daddy are just a few of the silly names we had for him.

We miss you, Dad, Papa, Ted!

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ted's Memorial Fund 2814 Ridge Dr. Grand Junction, CO 81506. We will be donating all funds to the Family of God Church in Puerto Penasco, MX.

Ted Allen Martin, age 70, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. Ted was born August 14, 1951.

A funeral service for Ted will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Canyon View Vineyard - Chapel, 736 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505.
