Thomas Kukulan

February 3, 1931 - August 12, 2016

Thomas Kukulan was born February 3, 1931, to Thomas and Florence Kukuljan, in Silverton, Colorado. He graduated Telluride High School in 1949, served in the US Air Force and Honor Guard before being honorably discharged in 1955, as Staff Sergeant. Thomas then attended Mesa College and University of Colorado earning a Business degree.

Tom married M. Elaine Bowles in 1957, they lived in Boulder, Delta, and Grand Junction. He was Finance Director of the Morning Sun Newspaper, Grand Junction Health Dept., partner in B & H Machinery, Finance Director for City of Delta, owned a Laundromat, accounting office, and rental housing.

Tom was an avid hunter, angler, bowler, traveler, and golfer.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years; sister, Jera (Wallace) Gross; children, Rhonda (John) Oliver, Rod (Linda), and Gavin (Marci); grandchildren, Shawn Kukulan (Miranda), Chelsie (Tom) Heckmaster, Taylor Kukulan, Cynthia (Bo) Stohler, Bryce Kukulan, Christopher (Sydney) Oliver, and Samantha (Aaron) Tigar; four great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, sisters, Mary Boyer and Lillian Huff, and brother Jack Kukuljan .

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Crossroads United Methodist Church.
