Viola Violette Lucero was born on March 30, 1930, in Salida, Colorado, to Ricardo Howard “Richard” Lucero and Frances Jean Garcia Lucero. She attended school in Salida.
In 1965 she found and fell in love with George Hinkle. They just celebrated 50 years together last fall. She will always be in George’s heart, and she will be greatly missed.
Vi worked as a Warehouse Manager for a number of years before retiring. She was then able to do some traveling with her family, which she enjoyed so much.
Violette is survived by her husband, George; daughters, Lisa Grady, Sandy Houle, and Tara Hinkle; son, Jerry DeLisle; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, James Lucerne; and many family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo Lucero and Frances Ritchie; daughter, Diane Justice; her brothers, Bob Lucerne, Dave Lucerne, Eugene “Manny” Lucerne; and sister, Josephine Ruder.
