Virginia W Larson

Virginia Wayman Sherman, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026 at the age of 90. Virginia was born on February 20, 1935 in Castle Dale, Emery County, Utah to Zola Virginia Rowley and Charles Benjamin (Bennie) Wayman. She married Wilford Sherman on May 1, 1950. They were sealed for all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple on June 29, 1060.

Virginia will be missed by all. She loved cooking and sharing her food with everyone. Feeding folks was her love language and one could always count on Virginia trying to fix you something to eat.

Virginia is preceded in death by Wilford, her parents Zola Hardy and Bennie Wayman, her siblings Charles Leland Wayman, Thomas George Wayman and Caral Wayman Burnside. She is survived by her children, Joann Nylander (Dave), Steve Sherman, and Kathy Guerrie (Ernie), her siblings John Henry Nickels of Henderson Nevada, Sue Barclay (Dave) of Nampa, Idaho and Lois Anderson (Corey) of Fairview, Utah.

Virginia was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as many, many nieces and nephews, all who loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026 at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary located at 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, Colorado. Viewing will begin at 10:30 am and the service will follow at 11:00 am.

Internment will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 in Huntington, Utah.
