Virginia M. Tapp passed away on Sept. 13 at Family Health West in Fruita.
Virginia was born to Murl and Mabel Johnson on July 18, 1926 at Grand
Junction, CO.She attended schools in Grand Junction. She married Wesley Tapp
on Jan. 14, 1951 at Oakdale, CA and together they resided in Lancaster, CA
where she worked for the state of California for 27 years. Virginia was an
avid traveler and she loved to golf, read, and attend theaterical productions,
as well as spend time with her family and friends. Virginia was also a member
of the order of Eastern Star of Palmdale. They returned to Colorado in 1993 to
enjoy their retirement and love of nature and Colorado blue skys, making their
home in Clifton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years Wes, and
her son John. She is survived by her brother Richard (Nila), Johnson of
Clifton, sister in law Clara Kelley of Fruita, four grand children, four great-grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
A service of remberance will be at 1:00 p.m, Wednesday, Sept. 19,2012 at
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and
Palliative care of Western Colorado.
