

Ms. Smith was a postal worker.
She is survived by two sons, William of Fruita and David of Clifton; one daughter, Mary Gonzales of Clifton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Wanda L. Smith, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter and son-in-law holding her hand on February 2, 2016.
She was born October 21, 1938, to Willard and Ruby Story in Preston, KS. She was married to Ralph Smith Jr. in Medicine Lodge, KS on October 18, 1955 and moved to Colorado.
Wanda had suffered from a stroke and was left paralyzed and bedridden for the last eight and one half years and is finally free of pain.
Her times spent before her stroke were movies with friends, bingo, cruises and vacations with her sisters and sisters-in-law, and friends. Her proudest and best moments were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three children, William Smith (Annerose) of Fruita; David Smith (Ester) of Clifton; Mary Gonzales (Rudy) of Clifton; grandchildren, David Scott of Fruita; Thomas Smith of Sterling; Adam (Ashley) Smith of Grand Junction; Heather (Nik) Graham of Grand Junction; Michael (Rebecca) Kime of Clifton; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Joshua, D.J., Andrew, Sophia, and Zoey; sister, Shirley Kysar of St. Peters, MO; brothers, Delbert (Sharron) Story of Hutchinson, KS; Ralph Story of Hutchinson, KS; Bill (Yvonne) Story of Clovis, NM; sisters-in-law, Helen Timmons; Lois Macklberg, and Viola Newberry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith, Jr. ""Smitty""; son, Terry Jean Smith; granddaughters, Christina and Amanda; brothers, Donald Story, Paul Story, and Robert Story; sisters, Edith Kestler, and Elizabeth Keesling.
Services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 2:00 p.m.
