Adela M. Palomo peacefully passed away on February 21, 2021 at the age of 72, at her home of over 45 years surrounded by her dearest loved ones. She was wife to widower Arthur R. Palomo, and together they shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in Houston, Texas she was the daughter of Juan and Mary Morales whom together had eight children. She was a woman well before her time, and received her Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) in the 80’s. She started working for the Grand Prairie Independent School District (GPISD) as a Bus Monitor and quickly rose through the ranks to become a beloved Dispatcher whom all respected for her tough, but fair approach. In total she worked for GPISD for 30 years retiring in 2011.
She was a spiritual person who believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and knew she was going home to a kingdom in the sky. She enjoyed family gatherings playing Bingo, Poker, and taking everyone’s money! She will be remembered for her wisdom, her generosity, her tortillas, and most of all her loving way to all. She was a big-hearted woman who knew no strangers.
Her spouse Arthur R. Palomo survives her and together they share four children Elizabeth P. Robertson, Arthur Palomo Jr., Michael A. Palomo, Steven Palomo, & their loving spouses. She has 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind five loving siblings, Josephina Zaragoza, Guadalupe Arispe, Dora Alvarez, Daniel Morales, and Rosa Lucio.
She was predeceased by many loving family members whom we are sure were there for her homecoming.
The memorial service and visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Bean Massey Burge located at 2951 South Beltline Rd., Grand Prairie, Texas 75052 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This will be the only gathering because she has opted to be cremated. In respect of COVID-19 and the family’s privacy a dinner will not follow the service. Thank you.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.beanmasseyburge.com for the Palomo family.
