Barbara J Graham

Barbara Graham, 65, of Grand Prairie, passed away May 27, 2014. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 25, 1948. Barbara graduated from Cherry Creek High School near Englewood, Colorado, and received a Bachelor of Behavioral Science from Hardin – Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She was married to Edgar Graham on July 5, 1968, at First Baptist Church of Englewood, Colorado. Barbara attended the Bible Baptist Seminary with her husband in Arlington, Texas, from 1968 to 1970. She served with her husband in the ministry at Central Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA, Fundamental Baptist Church in Sweetwater, TX, Calvary Baptist Church in Merkel, TX, Countryside Baptist Church in Merkel, TX, Faith Baptist Church in Abilene, TX, Trinity Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX, Lighthouse Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, TX, and Baptist Temple of Grand Prairie. Over the years she served as a Sunday School teacher, pianist and organist, and organized junior choirs and musicals. Barbara also had a career in education for the Merkel and Grand Prairie Independent School Districts. She is survived by her husband Edgar Graham of Grand Prairie; children, Randy Graham and wife Shelly of Appleton, WI, Scott Graham of Grand Prairie, Tammy Coates and husband Daniel of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, Kevin Graham and former wife Denise of Franklin, IN; 18 grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters, Don Epps and wife Kathy of Altamonte Springs, FL, Linda Grimm and husband John of Streetsboro, OH, Brenda Locke and husband Dave of Littleton, CO, Deborah Shafer and husband Scott of Englewood, CO, and Jonathan Epps and wife Lacey of Spirit Lake, ID. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 3, at Trinity Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, TX. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 pm at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie.
