Carol Ann Werner, 83, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born on June 10, 1942, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Carol's life was defined by compassion, service, and an unwavering dedication to helping others.
After graduating from Neah-Kah-Nie High School in June 1961, Carol pursued her passion for learning and personal growth, earning a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Marylhurst University in December 1997 and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Gonzaga University in June 2001.
Carol dedicated much of her life to supporting individuals in need through her work in crisis intervention and counseling. She provided compassionate care and guidance at the Crisis Triage Center and the Department of Veterans Affairs in Spokane, Washington. Her deep commitment to service extended into her volunteer work with the Sisters of Providence Hospital, where she offered hospice bereavement support to patients and families during their most difficult times.
Before entering the field of social services, Carol built a successful career in the banking industry, where she was admired for her professionalism, integrity, and dedication.
Carol is lovingly remembered by her brother, Charlie Rhodes; her daughters, Barbara Ann Paulsen, Deborah Lynn Dimoff, and Christine Nilluka; and her grandchildren, Cassie Paulsen, Ethan Paulsen, and Jourdan Dimoff. She also leaves behind her beloved animal companion, Harper.
Carol’s legacy of kindness, empathy, and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
