Cynthia Rhodes Womack (A*K*A-SISSY), who was born at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas, on January 16, 1961, passed away on May 2, 2025 at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and lived in Grand Prairie, Texas her whole life.
Cynthia attended Lamar Elementary, Jefferson Jr. High and graduated at Grand Prairie High School in 1979. She loved going to garage sales and spending time with family and friends. She worked much of her life, retiring in 2024.
Cynthia was a person who would step up in time of need and was always eager to help whenever asked. If you were her friend, you were her friend for life! IF she thought you needed something and she could help, she would gladly give anything she could.
She loved her family, friends, neighbors, and her dog “Zeus”. She enjoyed going to yard/garage sales to get out of the house, but she enjoyed the hunt of what she may find (not just for herself, but others). Also, she loved a good joke or laughing at life itself. She learned that money is not everything, but helping others was most important and she did that in small and large ways.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents; Earl and Betty Womack, as well as her husband; Joseph Rhodes. She is survived by her brothers; Jimmy, Billy, Wayne, and Bobby Womack; her sister; Deborah Witzel; her two children; Leanna Vasquez and Joseph Rhodes; six grandchildren; Marcus, Madison and Paul Jr. Vasques, Allen, Alex and Jerjah Rhodes.
A memorial service will be held on May 16, 2025 at 1:00pm at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, located on 2951 S. Belt Line Rd. in Grand Prairie TX., 75052.
Her legacy was giving her time and attention to help family and friends, as they were the most important thing to her. She succeeded in these things and will be remembered as the caring, loving person she set out to be.
