Dennis Lee Bazan

Funeral services for Dennis Lee Bazan age 32 will be Monday, January 16,2012 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville. Burial will follow at the Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Dennis passed away on January 11, 2012 after a sudden illness. He was born on December 22, 1979 to Rolando P. and Naida G. Bazan in Arlington, Texas.

He was a 1998 Honor Graduate of South Grand Prairie High School; he was a recipient of the National Hispanic Scholar Program and received numerous scholarships. He was also a member of the award winning Warrior Band.

Dennis was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Texas in Austin and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and minor in Business in 2002. He was scheduled to receive his MBA from the University of Dallas in April 2012.

He was employed with Berkley Specialty Underwriting as a Sports and Entertainment Underwriter for 3 years. Dennis’s passions included the Texas Longhorn Sports, entertaining and traveling, but most of all spending time with family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jose C. and Maria P. Bazan and Maternal grandparents Paul L. and Nellie R. Guerrero.

He is survived by his parents Rolando P. and Naida G. Bazan, one brother Ryan S. Bazan and nephew Anthony Joseph Bazan, all of Grand Prairie. His Partner Scott Rhyne of Dallas. Dennis was also survived and loved by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
