

Doris Lynn Harpold joyfully celebrated her homecoming day when Jesus called her away on June 24, 2014. She was born June 11, 1926 in Blue Ridge, TX to George and Maudie Belle Atteberry. She was the youngest of 17 children all of whom preceded her in death. Doris enjoyed 65 years of marriage to the love of her life, Warren Harpold. She was a longtime employee of Murdock Machine and Engineering where she retired in 1988. She enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, cooking, and dancing. Doris served her family with steadfast love and devotion and always believed humor was good for the soul. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband Warren, her son Michael Harpold, and daughter Cynthia Brantley. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Ahlstedt and husband Rick, her son-in-law Thomas Brantley, daughter-in-law Sue Coursey, grandchildren Shannon and Mark Hutcheson, Jason and Angela Brantley, Ashlea and Reagan Lucas, Hallie and Carl Jeffery, Michael Erick and Jamielynn Ahlstedt, Zachary and Jamie Ahlstedt, Jalah and Chad Lawrence, Delana and Glenn Brooks, along with 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. While she will be dearly missed, we know our goodbye is not the end (1 Cor. 15:54). Special thanks to Tender Heart Hospice Care and MCC for their compassionate care in her final days.
