Douglas Clifford Evans Jr.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church in Grand Prairie. Visitation was Thursday at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie.

Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, N.M., in 1964. He attended Texas A&M and North Texas in Denton. He worked 42 years at Cummins and was the head deacon at First Christian church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas C. Evans Sr.; and mother, Kathryn Evans.

Survivors: Wife, Diana "Dee" Harp Evans of Grand Prairie; children, Paul Evans (Renee) of California, Lisa Pyle (Alan) of Rice, Keith Colvin (Cindy) of Rowlett and Kathi Walker (J.R.) of Arlington, Christy Wilson of Georgetown; mother, Doris Evans of Grand Prairie; brother, Larry Jackson (Shirley) of Arlington; sisters, Katie Knox of Sherman, Elaine Hood (Billy) of Whitehouse and Cindy Jackson of Granbury; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Pam Harp of Hide-a-way; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; numerous co-workers; and church families of First Christian Church and Cross Point Church of Christ.
