

Herbert was born to Susie Ella Allbritton and Thomas Marvin Clark in Franklin Parish, Louisiana on May 18, 1930.
Herbert is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Yvonne Clark; daughter, Cheryl Yvonne Clark; and all his siblings, Roma Clark-Franks, “Bud” Clark, Pete Clark, Lowell Clark, Lorie Clark-Perdue, and Bryan Clark.
Herbert is survived by his son, Forrest David Clark and daughter-in-law, Dana Clark; grandsons, Christopher Holmes Clark and Joshua David Clark; granddaughters, Christy Kirkley and Lindsay Stanley; great-grandchildren, Jack Kirkley, Nora Kirkley and Zander Stanley; and special family friend, Donna Corey.
Herbert was a Korean War-Era Army Veteran Military Policeman. In 1952 Herbert went to work for Vought Aerospace (also known as Ling-Tempco-Vought-LTV). For 41 years, Herbert worked at LTV building cold war fighter and attack aircraft, the F-8 Crusader and A-7 Corsair II specifically. Herbert was the patriarch for a strong family and will be sorely missed.
Visitation: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Grand Prairie Funeral Home. Funeral service: 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, following the visitation. Interment: 10:00 AM Monday, February 6, 2023 at Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
