He is survived by his wife Jan Ewing of 48 years; his children Debra Horsman (Greg), Lexington,KY, Virginia Williams (Bobby) Cedar Hill,TX, Gayla Robbins (Tim) Denver,CO Dana More (Bettyana) of Leander,TX, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Amber Horsman, Anthony Horsman and Courtney Robbins.
Jerry had a passion for blues music, poker and was a do it yourself kind of guy. It wasn`t uncommon to find him under the sink or outside with his hands in the dirt. He loved to fish and share his passions with the grandchildren. Music and dancing were his passion with his wife, but it also wasn`t uncommon to find him doing the same with his daughters. One of the glorious memories is the cabin, or rather the shack where you could lay and watch the stars through the roof. One thing you could count on in that shack was a decent shower. His life long career and being a do it yourself kind of guy would allow no other. Ask me about the plugs in the boat....In retirement you would find him spending time with his family and closets friends, Shirley and Sherman.
His beautiful life will be forever cherished int he lives of his children, grandchildren and those who knew him loved him the most.
The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Hospice Community Health Care of Texas.
