Jimmy Don McBroom

Jim attended Leonard schools and was later called into active duty during the Vietnam war. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from January 1966 until January 1968. After returning home from the war, Jim competed a bachelor's degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas.

Jim was a licensed insurance adjuster and worked for many agencies and investigative services over the years. After retiring he became interested in genealogy and spent many hours researching and recording his family ancestry.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Grady and Mahonna Kidwell, and sister Joyce Havens. He is survived by brother-in-law Larry Havens, nephews Kim Havens, Kirk Havens, Steve Kidwell, Tim Kidwell, and niece Ann Kidwell Dancer.

Jim will be interred in the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
