Joe W. Hill (“JW”), age 91, of Grand Prairie, Texas went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Joe was born on April 12, 1930 in Cerrogordo, Oklahoma to Ina and Luther Hill. Joe married Dixie Jackson in 1950 and they were married 57 years. He joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He began his professional career with LTV in 1953 and retired after 37 years of service.
Joe faithfully attended and served in Fairview Baptist Church for over 60 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Dixie, daughter Patricia, and his brother James. He is survived by his daughter Linda Boykin, grandsons Chris and Abe, Chris' wife Beth and great granddaughter Madison, brothers Bill and Larry Hill of Goodwater, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 1:00 p.m. at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
