John David Nelson born in Winnsboro, South Carolina December 25, 1950 passed away May 17, 2014 in Arlington, Texas. John, a U.S. Army Vet, made many friends working for the City of Grand Prairie where he retired. He was preceded in death by: parents, James and Bertha Nelson; and sister, Denise O’Brien. Those left to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Linda Nelson; son, Eric and wife Jennifer; daughter, Heather; grandsons, Casey, Bryce, and Zach (U.S. Navy); granddaughters, Nicole, and Izabella; brothers, Teddy, and Glen; sisters, Brenda, Marie, Ann, and Vicky. No doubt he will be missed by all who knew him.
