John Gormley, age 93, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on January 12, 2022. He was born in Burkburnett, Texas on January 26, 1928. He graduated from Hobbs High School and received a business degree from Draughon School of Business. He was married to the love of his life, Ruth Gormley in October 1961.
John had a career in Accounting. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp during WWII, and played in the Marine Corp band. He had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys and the Marines. He is survived by his wife Ruth Gormley, children Sheila Ann Sanchez and Pam Huret; siblings Don Gormley and Raymond Gormley; grandchildren Steve Lee Sanchez, LeAnn Michelle Sanchez, Keith Casas, and Kacey Casas.
A rosary will be held on January 26, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie. The visitation will immediately follow from 4:30 – 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on January 27, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 2910 Corn Valley Road, Grand Prairie. A committal service will follow at 11:30 am at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
