Joy loved to send birthday cards to family and friends. She never forgot a birthday or special occasion. Joy learned to quilt from her mother. She loved to travel in her camper and her favourite place was Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Roy Goodwin; her daughter, Janet Erwin; her parents; two sisters, Lola Shockley and Eva Curtis.
Joy is survived by her son, James Goff and wife Rose Marie; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and one on the way;
5 nieces and 2 nephews.
Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home in Grand Prairie.
Graveside Service: 2 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Dresden Cemetery in Dresden, TX
