Katy Owens

March 22, 1935 - December 24, 2025

Katy Lou Owens, 90, of Grand Prairie, passed away at home on December 24, 2025.

Born in Fort Worth, Katy was the youngest of three daughters to Guy and Blanche Crouch.

Katy married Charles Owens in 1953, and they enjoyed a marriage that lasted 71 years until his death in 2024. They had four children: Patty Peters, Penny Mosconi, Charlie (Charles Jr) and Tommy. Katy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and son Charles Jr and his daughter Patty.

They had many happy years of marriage and enjoyed traveling, fishing and being with family and friends. Katy especially enjoyed playing games of all kinds: cards, dominoes, trains and board games, but she delighted in playing with and teaching all her grand and great grandchildren the rules of the games. She also enjoyed going to play games of chance in Las Vegas and Oklahoma where she loved going with her children Tommy and Penny. Winstar was a favorite place to gofor a day of fun and entertainment.

Lovingly remembered by her son Tommy (Cheri), daughter Penny ( Larry), grandchildren: Terra Seneriz (Frank), Jacob Owens, Micah Owens ( Molly), Eric Mosconi (Holly), Rebecca Morrow (Gavin), Stephen Haley (Kirstyn) and 19 Great Grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, located at 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, on January 2, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A private family funeral will follow at the same venue from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm.

A graveside service will take place at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm on January 2, 2026.
