

Larry was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War as a member of the 336th Assault Helicopter Company. He was honorably discharged and received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal in recognition of his service to his country. Following his military service, Larry worked for the City of Grand Prairie for 12 years, where he received many accolades for his dedicated service to the Parks and Recreation Department.
Larry will be remembered for his helping and loving nature, his devotion to family, and for riding the roads on his trusty green tractor—a simple joy that brought him peace and happiness.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James Garber Sr. and Bernice A. Lee Garber; his brothers, Jimmy Garber, Steven Garber, and David Garber; and his father-in-law, Billy Phillips, and mother-in-law, Gracie Phillips; Sister in Law, Lori Ann Williams; Brother in Law, Crockett Phillips, and Brother in Law, Jeff Griffith; Sister in Law, Kim Phillips.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Garber; his children; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brothers, Mike, Terry, and Tim; his sisters, Mary, Pat, and Deb; Brother in Law Ricky Phillips and wife Jan; Sister in law, Terri Griffith; Sister in Law, Vicki Carder and Husband Darrell; and Brother in Law, Jayson Phillips.
