

Maudean grew up in Delta County and on October 2, 1943 she married Clifford Goforth. Shortly after they were married Clifford began boot camp in Alabama. When their first child was born Maudean moved to Alabama with baby Jewel. When he was discharged from the military they family made Grand Prairie, Texas their permanent home.
The family started out in a street car but soon Clifford had built them a house on 14th St. Maudean was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed croqueting and spending time with her family. She also was good at word searches and won hat pin twice. Maudean and Clifford would sing and play guitar at Assembly of God Church in Grand Prairie. She was baptized in a pond on 8th St. and Marshall.
Maudean worked in electronics for Raytheon before she retired in 1992. After she lost her first husband she remarried Don Ball. In 2008 she moved to Corpus Christi to care for Don. She was a kind and loving woman who never met a stranger. Always there to those in need she will be dearly missed.
Maudean is preceded in death by her 1st husband Clifford Goforth; 2nd husband Don Ball; daughter Jewel Dean Stewart; sister Dorothy Piland; brother G.D. Moore.
She is survived by her children Rose Mary Goforth (Bruce McLane), Carolyn Ann Hoppenrath and her husband Ken, Clifton Ray Goforth, Larry Dean Goforth (Ester Barron), Ronnie Lee Goforth; grandchildren: Christina Barton, Jo Ann Murray and her husband Glenn, Andrew Everett Dickson, William Randal Cassel and his wife Clarissa, Stacey Lynn Dewey and her husband Matt, Candice Williams, Samantha Williams, Celina Williams, Kenny A Hoppenrath, Kristie Vance, Melonie Furr; great-grandchildren: Lena, Justin, Jacquelyn, Desiree, Malachi, Emelia, Kenny, Blake, Logan, Hunter, Jordon, Maddie, Mitchell, Montona, Courtney, Daniel, Ashleigh, Lillee, Monroe; numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister Jean Kines and numerous adopted sisters and brothers.
