Nettie Bates Carpenter, 82, went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2016 in Burleson, TX. She was born October 19, 1934 in Quitman, TX to Bill and Sally Miller. Nettie was preceded in death by her son, Gary Don Bates and her brother, Jesse Miller. She is survived by daughters, Mary Weis, Doris Lavassaur and husband Ron, Carolyn Malcolm, JoAnn Rogers and husband Derb; son, Eddie Bates; daughter-in-law, Patsy Bates; sister, Shirley Burgins and husband Virgil; brother, William Miller; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving and faithful wife and mother. She was also saved and baptized at Westerfield Methodist Church in Dallas.
