Patricia Ann Cook Harris

Patricia Ann Harris, age 82, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Patricia was born September 19, 1942 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Johnny Bob Cook and Clarice (Ellis) Cook. She was a member of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

She graduated from Travillion High School in Hattiesburg. Patricia moved to San Francisco California in 1962 with her son, Randy O'Neal Cook-Harris, and later began her training to become a commercial bus driver. In November of 1967, she married Gus Harris. They were married for 14 years in San Francisco California and were blessed with one child, Brenda Faye Harris. Gus passed away on July 4, 2003. She retired and moved back to her hometown of Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 2014.

Patricia had many interests including Streaming St John Church Grand Prairie Texas on Sunday. She loved traveling, watching movies and game shows.

Patricia had one surviving brother, Donald E Cook, and is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brothers, Hal "Harold" Cook-Corbinook, John Wayne Cook, and Alvin Cook.

Patricia is survived by her children, Randy O’Neal Cook-Harris and Brenda Faye Harris; grandchildren, Ronnette Janae Brown-White (her husband William T. White, Jr.) and Zachery Eric Rideaux, Jr.; great grandchildren, Ria Lynnelle White, Ruby Lynnette White, and Rayna Lynnesse White.
