Patrick Joseph McHugh

Patrick Joseph McHugh passed May 19, 2026. He was born in Monahan, Ireland, on October 4, 1942. Patrick was a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas. He graduated from Roosevelt University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.

While he was not a man of many words, Patrick spoke volumes through his actions. He possessed a gentle spirit and an unwavering work ethic, dedicating his life to providing for those he loved most.

Where others sought the spotlight, Patrick enjoyed volunteering his time with the Scouts of America since 1975 as Cubmaster for Pack 390 and Scoutmaster for Troop 390 (Dolton, Illinois) and as Cubmaster for Pack 388 and Scoutmaster for Troop 388 Grand Prairie, Texas.

He taught his children the value of patience, hard work, and love of family. His steadfast presence was an anchor for the family, and his legacy of quiet strength will continue to guide them for generations.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Louise; his son, Joseph (wife-Peggy); son, Michael; and daughter-in-law, Michelle; his grandchildren, Clayton (wife-Jessica), Cameron, Joseph, Christopher, Amanda and Jacob. Three great-grandchildren; Bayley, Bradyn, and Caden, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters, Julia and Kathleen, brother, Terence, and sons, Mark and John.

Visitation will be held at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, US, on June 5, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral Service will take place at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home Beltline Road, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, US, on June 6, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
