Patsy Ruth Briggs

Patsy grew up in Clarksville, Texas where she met Calvin. They were married in February 1948. In the early 1950’s they moved their family in the Dallas Area and eventually settled in Grand Prairie. Patsy worked in school cafeterias and cooked for local restaurants. She continued her education at Mountain View College where she received her dietician’s license. She then began working for nursing homes in the kitchen, doing the meal planning.

Patsy enjoyed fishing and gardening. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a caring soul. During the holidays she would open her home to friends and friends of friends who didn’t have somewhere to go. She was a loving a wife, mother, grandmother and friend who touched many people’s lives.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents James D Wardlow and Marion Cecil McGuire Wardlow; husband Calvin R. Briggs.

She is survived by her children Jimmy D Briggs and his wife Vickie, Vicky Tedford and her husband Eric, Barbara Eberle and her husband Don, Fay Flores and her husband Manuel, Becky Lundstrom and her husband Paul; grandchildren: Dywayne, Dusty, Brent, John, Stephanie, Wesley, Joe, Chrystal, Amy, Robert, Brooke, Brandy; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Jim Wardlow and his wife Jean and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
